Uploading/submitting tournament info

I was a lapsed Club level TD and I have just taken (and passed) the test for Club level TD certification, in addition, my High School has become a USCF affiliate. So I have those two issues taken care of. In addition, I have a basic knowledge on how to use WinTD, and have used WinTD to run a number of unrated scholastic tournaments. I’ve also watched Tim Just’s 20/80 videos. But I have a few questions.

(1) At the end of “WinTD Basics,Video 8: Creating an On-Line USCF Rating Report for Submission,” the video ends (if I understood it correctly) with the report generated and storied on one’s hard disk. The video ends saying that in the next video he will show us how to upload that report to the USCF. But the next video, #9 is on Master Files. Did I miss something? How and where does one upload the tournament report to USCF?

(2) How does one upload the information for USCF memberships sold?

(3) How and where does one pay for the tournament fees and USCF memberships?

Any help on these issues will be appreciated!

You have to process the memberships before processing the rating report, if only because you need to get the IDs of any new players into your rating report.

In TD/A there is a separate ‘membership’ module.

Submitting the batch or rating report for processing, which includes paying for the memberships or for the rating fee, is only offered after the membership batch or rating report is free from errors. You can pay for them online via credit card or you can mail a check to the USCF office and the memberships or rating report will get processed after the check is received.

The WinTD videos cover only WinTD. The TD/Affiliate options are covered in USCF Basics

The are TD/A options for submitting memberships (including creating IDs for non-members for use with new JTP or tournament-player participants), submitting rating reports, downloading supplements, etc.

I’m not sure if Tim’s videos include creating memberships in TD/A.
