What irony!
The event was quite a success with over 100 players from the US participating. I got roped into broadcasting it too! Originally, I was just a commentator. The Israeli commentator did not make it, so it was just me! You can find the video on the Eade Foundation YouTube channel. Of course, thanks to my incompetence, the audio from the opening ceremony was not active! I finally figured out the fix, and the rest of it went pretty smoothly.
I would have played if it had been on Saturday rather than Sunday. But I suspect there are more Israeli players who wouldn’t play on their Sabbath than US players who wouldn’t play on Sundays.
