Quick question - do either (both, neither) of the up-to-date versions of WinTD or SwissSys correct report rated blitz events? Do they have fields for blitz ratings? Thanks.
I assume you’re talking about USCF-rated blitz events rather than FIDE-rated blitz events. If I’m wrong please clarify.
As far as I know, SwissSys doesn’t have any special support for blitz ratings, but you can load a version of the USCF database which has blitz ratings instead of quick ratings. They’ll be called quick ratings within SwissSys, but they’re actually blitz ratings. Thank you, Mike Nolan!
You report a blitz tournament the same way you report any other kind of tournament. The only real differences are in the TD/Affiliate Support Area on uschess.org: reporting the time control correctly and clicking the box which says that blitz rules were in effect (assuming they were).
I don’t understand the question. Why wouldn’t they report rated blitz events?

I updated the programming so it was possible to create regular/blitz supplement files (after both an internal and a Forum discussion of various options), but Phil Smith creates and posts the supplement files.
Neither of the currently available rating report upload formats have a way to indicate that an event is a blitz event, because both formats were created before the blitz rating system existed.
We no longer use that field in the section file anyway, since the time control information unambiguously determines the proper rating system(s).
The draft format (see secure2.uschess.org/TD_Affil/fileformat.php) does have a place for the player’s rating, but not what rating system it is, and we don’t currently use that field for much anyway.
Thanks for the responses. I found the correct Golden DB in the TD/Affiliate side of things and will use it accordingly.
