Mega Kudos to you young man :sunglasses:

Ignioring that the Correspondence Chess League of America ran the Championshipp for many years prior. I think it needed to be said.

Not that I would do that well but how does one go about trying to play in this?

I’d assume that there will be an announcement on the ICCF-US website about the next one: http://www.iccfus.com/

Apparently it is played in two rounds, and all you need to qualify for the preliminaries is a rating (any rating) over 2000. Since both your USCF OTB and USCF correspondence ratings are over 2000, you should have no trouble.

IM Morrow and Gary Walters have both played in them before. Perhaps they can comment.

In the meantime, you can familiarize yourself with ICCF server play by signing up for one of the other tournaments at the link above.

I played in the 7th USCCC based on a 2000 correspondence rating from a couple of tiny clubs (both under 200 members). I can’t say I did terribly well, I think something like 5-7, but it was a very good experience.

you sign up for USCF correspondence events through the USCF webstore. There are several up there right now.

Thanks to all for answering my question.I’ve been playing on ICCF for about a year now and never realized there was a US page-very helpful!
