Is anyone aware of custom made chess tables? There used to be Sundog Tables, but I’m not seeing them on the Internet anymore.
I looked at a few places and found quite a selection of chess tables but nothing beats the furniture that hardwood.artisans makes. Since they custom make stuff, I’m confident they could make a chess table to whatever standards you can imagine. I would suggest visiting their website and marvel at the pieces there. In case there is more than one Hardwood Artisans, the one I viewed is in Northern Virginia. I think there was a company in the Pacific Northwest that made great chess stuff as well but I forgot the name. Wonder if any ex chess players are selling those study products? Shipping might be iffy, as all of their pieces are custom and expensive but…
I’ve seen their stuff before, the quality and craftsmanship is first rate and maybe 10% of the stuff they do is chess related.
