Fortress

I thought I would post this interesting win I had at FICS (Free Internet Chess Server).

The ending looked like it could have come out of an endgame book. :sunglasses:

Specifically, about move 47 is when it really got to the point where I realized I could set up a fortress. After he exchanged pawns, I was certain I had the advantage.
The reason it looks like its from an endgame study is because of two reasons: the miminal amount of pieces (and every piece has a job to do), and how well the black pieces coordinate with each other.

In any event, I really like how I was able to maintain the exact fortress, even after my opponent tried to break it up by exchanging pawns on move 56.

I enjoyed playing through it. Thanks for sharing.
