Starting January 1, 2008 the TD Certification rules are adding some extra experience requirements for new Senior TD applicants and above.
In addition to everything else, new Senior TD applicants will need to have submitted a total of 3 tournaments on-line as one of the experience requirements. New ANTD applicants will need a total of 4 events submitted on-line and new NTD applicants will need a total of 5 events submitted on-line.
Just looking at the Senior TD requirements, you put the part about the on-line requirement in paragraph B. Paragraph C relates to substitutions for those tournaments in paragraph B. Does this mean that attendance at a problem solving and discussion workshop run by the TDCC at a US Open Championship would mean you only need to submit two on-line tournaments?
I think you need to clarify exactly which of the tournaments in paragraph B may be successfully substituted, unless of course you did mean to allow the on-line submitted tournaments to be substituted by any of the options in paragraph C.
Nice catch. The process of making a change is long and hard. So, we might just choose to live with the current wording for the short run. The point was that on-line events had to be part of the experience requirements. Three events is just a number we choose.
Yes I understand, and even should someone try to circumvent the on-line rating submission requirement, the most substitutions that are allowed is 2, meaning they would still have to submit at least one tournament on-line for rating. You picked some quite convenient numbers!
