Hi,
I have an online TLA and selected it to be put in Chess Life. It has been approved for On Line, but how do I pay for it to be in Chess Life.

The online charging module is still in testing, I may get it done over the weekend if I don’t get too distracted. Otherwise, Joe will be able to do the charge at the USCF office.

However, the important question is: Are you satisfied with the online proof copy? That’s where the time savings comes in, not having send proofs back and forth, and why we will be able to extend the TLA deadline even though the on-press date for Chess Life is being advanced by a couple of days.

If you’re satisfied with it, Joe can import it directly into Quark already formatted, saving all that typing and formatting time.

Once we get everything completed, we’re hoping that I’ll be able to give him a single file with all the TLAs for an issue in it, in the correct order and with all the formatting in place. That’ll save hours of time!

It is a little wordy, but I am ok with it. I would be happy to use it as is for the January issue.

For now, email Joe Wright, jwright@uschess.org with your credit card information, or call him at the USCF office, extension 130.

What with the upcoming Board meeting, I don’t know when the TLA charge module will get finished.
