Is anyone else experiencing problems uploading rating reports?
Yes. I thought I’d check here to see if it was a known problem. I get the following error when submitting a report generated through WinTD.
All files present, checking for valid format

Tournament Upload failed
As Steve hasn’t provided details, I can’t speculate on what’s happening there, but the 2nd report appears to be a case of a bad file, most likely the THEXPORT.DBF file. Another TD reported a very similar problem a couple of weeks ago, his THEXPORT.DBF file was corrupt. (In fact, it didn’t look like a DBF file at all.)
It’s possible that there’s a version of a pairing program that is producing a bad file.
However, I also found a problem in TD/A that may have been contributing to both sets of problems upthread, and I believe it has been corrected.
The following is the message I got (and I submitted a number of test uploads, from different affiliates for which I am authorized to submit reports). In a couple of cases these were tournaments which had previously been rated successfully, and which I was testing to see where the problem might lie. One of these test uploads was with a copy of the .DBF files used to rate the tournament originally.

Have you tried it since I posted that I may have corrected the problem? (I do see signs that other TDs have been able to upload rating reports since then, though none from about 5:30 PM until about 10:30 PM.)
I think this is likely unrelated to the problem I cited above from another TD. He sent me his DBF files and the THEXPORT.DBF file he sent me was not a valid DBF file. It must have gotten corrupted on his end somehow.
However, both problems can result in the parsing program not finding a valid DBF file and complaining about it in the same way, because it is looking for a valid affiliate ID, one that you are authorized to submit events for.
My problem has been resolved. I was able to submit the same files that had previously failed.
Thank you Mike.
