US Open coverage

The coverage of the US Open so far has been paltry, at best.

This link:

alchess.com/chess/09/usopen/ … ction=trad

was hidden at the end of the article about the upset in Round 2… but now after round three, it specifies who won the third round games, but doesn’t add it to their point total. For example:

No. Ttl Name St Rate Pts Rnd1 Rnd2 Rnd3 Rnd4 Rnd5 Rnd6 Rnd7 Rnd8 Rnd9
1 GM Yermolinsky, Alex SD 2584 2.0 W 68 W 49 W 13 — — — — — —

Yermolinksky won three games, but his point total is two… Hunh?

Is there anyone actually responsible for communicating the results of this important USCF tournament to its members? Indeed, I went on monroi.com last night, and I could not find any live games (I did find some old round games of the Denker).

What’s going on?

You can find some of the top boards of the US Open on MonRoi, mixed in with the Denker games. It is a bit disorganized, but the games are available. Come back after 7pm Central time tonight and you’ll probably see about 10 boards of the US Open live.
