What will it take to get the Liberty Bell Open FIDE-rated?

I have asked the above thematic question to the USCF Office, and they appear to be as perplexed as I am (almost).

The Office sends the report to FIDE, and then FIDE sends it back, with no explanation.

The Office re-sends the report to FIDE, and then FIDE returns it again, with no explanation. I think there may actually have been a triple repitition!

The tournament ended January 15th. The allegedly “FIDE-rated” Open Section had over 4o players, including 4 GMs, 2 IMs, 9 FMs and 2 WFMs, among its 28 Masters.

What course of action is now available, if FIDE refuses to rate a “FIDE-rated” tournament, and the Office does not know why, and months and months go by with no additional information forthcoming and no apparent improvement in the impasse?

I’ve emailed questions to FIDE about previous issues (I think it was also tournaments not being rated), but they don’t reply. Maybe it’s their policy not to reply to inquiries that don’t come from the federation.

Is there someone on the Executive Board who will act as an advocate on behalf of the USCF members in the Open Section, who are apparently being denied their right to have their games rated by FIDE? If not, is there instead someone, perhaps our FIDE Delegate(?), to whom the Board might delegate this project, should they deem it so worthy?

The FIDE office isn’t very good at answering questions that come from the USCF, either.

I"d try contacting Bill Kelleher, he’s on the Presidential Board, maybe they’d listen to him? The next Presidential Board meeting starts on June 22nd, it’s time to start prepping him on issues such as this.
