I’ve been experiencing a few issues with WinTD lately, one of which is of the image attached.
This is from the Games Window, which I usually access from the “G” icon, but it also happens when I use the SECTION > List Games feature.
Hopefully, the pic is big enough that you can see that it’s not displaying the normal games view right.
The current software I have was purchased from US Sales, instead of directly from Estima, so I know now that I had probably bought an out of date copy, but it has since been updated and showing this problem.
When you are in the games window what happens if you do edit / change layout?
My default is sequenced Round Board Score1 Player1 Score2 Player2.
It looks like you have the sequence First1 Round Board Score1 Player2 Score2 Title1 Team1.
That was the solution, thanks. BUT, how did that happen? I certainly didn’t do it a purpose (didn’t know it was possible for the Game Window).
Far as I can tell it would occur randomly during the tournament. My solution was to close WinTD then reopen and that would restore it - for awhile, until it did it again. Any idea how that could happen?
Make sure you have a preference file loaded and set to be the default. After initial installation there isn’t one assigned. With out a “default” preference file, you may encounter various random bugs. For example, the program may easily crash when trying to export something.
WinTD comes with a couple preference files, but they are not automatically loaded. You can find them in the Documents\Estima\WinTD 4.20 folder.
Yeah, I just have no clue as to why the games window layout changed since I don’t ever change it manually. Is there a keyboard shortcut that I may accidently hit? Other than that possibility, I just don’t know.
Any other ideas about this problem? I just ran a test tournament, and the Games Layout has changed again, without any prompting from me. I had to manually reset the layout.
Tom, I’m pretty sure I followed Jeff’s suggestion, above, which is the same as yours, but somehow it messed up on its own later. I’ve reset the Default again, per your instructions, and will see how it does. Thanks.
