Garrett Scott has passed away

I regret to inform everyone that Garrett Scott has passed away. He was a mainstay in Illinois chess for 40+ years, and even briefly [2-3 months] served as President of the Illinois Chess Association. I have been informed that public sources have confirmed his passing. Not privy to any details, although he appeared to be in fine health 3 weeks ago at the US Senior tournament. He will be sorely missed here in Illinois.
