deadline is apparently Sep 15 for Oct 1 list.
I know Walter Brown was working on it last month, I thought he had submitted it, though neither USCF nor FIDE records indicate that it has been submitted to FIDE.
The US Open is one of the more time-consuming events to get ready to submit to FIDE, because every player who doesn’t already have a FIDE ID has to have one assigned before the event can be submitted. (The Amateur Team East is bigger, but I think it also has more players who are there year after year. The US Open, because it travels around the country, tends to have a lot of players each year who have never competed in a FIDE-rated event.)
Also the US Open has schedules that are not FIDE rateable, while the ATE does not.
Walter Brown says that he hopes to have this event to FIDE tomorrow, he’s just finishing up putting in all the new FIDE IDs.
Wait a minute… Are you saying every player who plays in the US Amateur Team East now gets a FIDE rating?
No. They get a FIDE ID number. Not the same thing.
